Privacy policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

This policy explains what personal data wecode collects through getwecode.com, the waitlist and the service, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect little, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

01Who we are

wecode is operated by Muneeb Hussain, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan. In this policy, “wecode”, “we” and “us” mean Muneeb Hussain trading as wecode.

We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email hello@getwecode.com. You will get a reply from a person.

02What we collect

When you join the waitlist

  • Your email address.
  • Which signup form you used on the page (for example, the hero or the pricing section) and when.
  • Delivery status of the emails we send you, such as delivered or bounced.

When you visit the site

  • Standard request data that our hosting provider logs for every website: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and time. We also use your IP address for a few minutes to stop the signup form being flooded.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. The site saves your scroll position in your browser’s session storage so a reload returns you to the same place. That value never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab.

When you become a customer

  • Account details: your name, email, company name and billing country.
  • Payment details, handled by our payment processor. We see the card brand, last four digits and payment status, never the full card number.
  • Your messages, screenshots, recordings and files you share with your engineer.
  • Access to the repositories and services you connect, and the source code, configuration and data inside them that we need to do the task.
  • Call notes, if you book a call.

03How we use it

  • To run the waitlist. We send you a confirmation, then tell you when wecode opens and what founding pricing is. We may send occasional product updates until launch.
  • To deliver the service. Planning and building your tasks, reviewing code, opening pull requests, and talking with you about the work.
  • To bill you and keep the records tax law requires.
  • To keep the site and service secure, including rate limiting, spam filtering and investigating abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or use your code or messages to train our own AI models.

05AI coding tools

Our engineers use AI coding agents, including Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI) and Cursor, to work on your tasks. Doing so sends the relevant parts of your code and task descriptions to those providers for processing.

We use these tools under business or API terms, or with privacy settings, that do not allow the provider to train its models on your code, wherever the provider offers that option. We keep secrets such as API keys and passwords out of prompts wherever we can. If there is code or data that must not be sent to an AI provider, tell us before we start and we will work on it without one.

06Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run wecode, and only what they need:

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Convex stores the waitlist and application data.
  • Resend sends our emails.
  • Anthropic, OpenAI and Cursor process code during tasks, as described above.
  • Our payment processor handles payments once paid plans start.
  • Code hosting and communication tools you choose to connect, such as GitHub.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

07International transfers

We operate from Pakistan, and most of our providers store data in the United States. That means your data is processed outside the country you live in. Where UK or EU law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, which our providers include in their data processing terms.

08How long we keep it

  • Waitlist: until you ask to be removed, or for up to 12 months after launch if you don’t become a customer.
  • Customer data: for as long as your account is active. After you cancel, we delete or return your materials within 90 days, except what we must keep by law.
  • Billing records: as long as tax law requires, typically up to 6 years.
  • Repository access: we remove our access when you cancel, and you can revoke it yourself any time. Your code stays in your repository.
  • Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, usually days to weeks.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it is wrong.
  • Delete it.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it.
  • Send it to you or another provider in a portable format.
  • Stop sending you emails. Reply to any email from us or write to hello@getwecode.com.

Email hello@getwecode.com to make a request. We will reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We don’t charge for this.

If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). We’d appreciate the chance to fix it first.

California residents have similar rights to know, delete and correct their data, and to not be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.

10Security

We use encrypted connections, limit who can access customer data to the engineers working on your account, use least-privilege access to your repositories, and review every change before it merges. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and any regulator as the law requires.

11Children

wecode is a service for businesses and adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us their data, email hello@getwecode.com and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will email waitlist members and customers before they take effect.
