Legal
Terms
Last updated October 13, 2026
These terms cover your use of the wecode website, the waitlist, and the wecode engineering service. We have tried to write them in plain English. If something is unclear, email hello@getwecode.com and ask.
01Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Muneeb Hussain, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan, trading as wecode (“wecode”, “we”, “us”).
If you use wecode on behalf of a company, you agree to these terms for that company and confirm you have the authority to do so. “You” then means the company. You must be at least 18 to use wecode.
02The website and waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. It also doesn’t guarantee you a place, a start date or a particular price. We will tell waitlist members what founding pricing is, and how long it lasts, before anyone is asked to pay.
Descriptions, prices and turnaround times on the website describe the service we intend to offer. If anything changes before you subscribe, the terms and price shown when you subscribe are the ones that apply.
03The service
A wecode subscription gives you a senior software engineer who works on development tasks you send them: features, bug fixes, refactors, integrations and similar work on your existing codebase. Your engineer uses AI coding tools to work faster and delivers changes as reviewed pull requests to your repository.
- One task at a time. You can add as many requests to your queue as you like. Your engineer works through them one at a time, in the order you set. Large requests are split into smaller tasks.
- Turnaround. Most tasks are delivered in 1–3 business days. That is a target, not a guarantee. Complex tasks, unclear requirements or waiting on you can take longer, and we will tell you when that happens.
- What’s not included. Unless we agree otherwise in writing: on-call or emergency support, hosting or infrastructure costs, third-party licenses and API usage, and work outside the scope of software development.
- Declining work. We may decline a request that is unlawful, unsafe, against these terms, or outside what we can reasonably deliver. We will say why.
04Billing, pausing and cancelling
- Price. The subscription costs $200 per month, or the founding price you were offered, plus any taxes that apply. You pay monthly in advance through our payment processor.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and your engineer keeps working on your queue until then.
- Pausing. You can pause when your queue is empty and resume later. You aren’t billed while paused. Any unused days in the period you paused are carried over when you resume.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial months, except where the law requires otherwise or we cancel your subscription without cause.
- Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change affects you. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may pause work until it is resolved.
05Your responsibilities
To let us do good work, you agree to:
- Give us access to the repositories and services the work needs, with the least access necessary. You can revoke it any time.
- Only share code, data and materials you have the right to share, and make sure our work on them doesn’t break your obligations to anyone else.
- Avoid sending us production secrets or personal data about your users unless a task needs them. When it does, tell us so we can handle them carefully.
- Keep your own backups of your code and data.
- Review and test our pull requests before you merge or deploy them. You decide what goes to production.
- Answer questions about your requests in reasonable time.
06Acceptable use
You may not use wecode to build or work on anything that:
- Is illegal where you or we operate, or helps someone break the law.
- Is malware, spyware, or designed to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy.
- Is designed to defraud, harass or deceive people.
- Involves sexual content involving minors, or content that promotes violence or terrorism.
You also may not abuse, threaten or harass our engineers. We may suspend or end your subscription if you break this section.
07Who owns the code
You do. Once you have paid for the period in which it was delivered, you own all code and other work we create for you (“deliverables”), and we assign to you any rights we have in it. Your existing code and materials stay yours.
We keep ownership of a few things that aren’t specific to you:
- Our internal workflows, prompts, review tooling and know-how. If any of these end up in your deliverables, you get a permanent, free license to use them as part of your project.
- General skills and techniques our engineers learn while working. We won’t reuse your confidential code or information.
Deliverables may include open-source libraries, which stay under their own licenses. We choose dependencies with licenses that suit commercial use and will flag any that come with conditions.
08AI-assisted work
Your engineer uses AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Every change is planned and approved by a person and goes through automated review and a security review before it is delivered.
AI-generated code can still contain errors that review doesn’t catch, and the law on copyright in AI-generated material is still developing in many countries. We don’t promise that every part of a deliverable can be protected by copyright. We do promise not to knowingly deliver code copied from a source whose license you can’t comply with.
How these tools handle your data is described in our Privacy policy.
09Confidentiality
We keep your code, data and business information confidential. We use it only to provide the service, share it only with our engineers and the providers listed in the Privacy policy, and protect it with reasonable care. This doesn’t cover information that is already public, that we already had, or that we must disclose by law. We won’t name you as a customer or show your work publicly without your permission.
10Our promises and their limits
We will do the work with the care and skill of an experienced professional engineer. If a deliverable doesn’t do what we agreed it would, tell us within 30 days and we will fix it at no extra charge, ahead of other work in your queue.
Beyond that, the service is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise that deliverables will be error-free or secure against every threat, or that the service will be uninterrupted, and we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
11Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows:
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.
- Our total liability for any claim connected with wecode is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event that caused it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.
12Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of materials you gave us, your breach of these terms, or how you use the deliverables, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.
13Ending the agreement
You can cancel any time, as described above. We can end your subscription with 30 days’ notice for any reason, refunding any days you prepaid but won’t receive. We can end it immediately if you seriously break these terms, including the acceptable use section, or don’t pay.
When the agreement ends, we remove our access to your systems, hand over any finished work you have paid for, and delete your materials as described in the Privacy policy. The sections on ownership, confidentiality, liability, indemnity and governing law continue to apply.
14Governing law and disputes
If something goes wrong, email hello@getwecode.com first. Most problems can be fixed by talking, and we will try in good faith to resolve any dispute within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute that can’t be resolved informally.
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts if those laws allow it.
15General
- Changes. We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email customers at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using wecode after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel.
- Whole agreement. These terms, together with any written agreement we sign with you, are the whole agreement between us about wecode.
- Events outside our control. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages at major providers, natural disasters or government action.
- Transfer. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent. We may transfer it to whoever takes over the wecode business, on the same terms.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Notices. We send notices to the email on your account. Send yours to hello@getwecode.com.
